I Dressed Retro

Polka Dots have been in fashion for really really long, and the exciting part about this style is that it ain't going anywhere anytime soon. While now a lot more subtle form of garments with polka dots are available in the market, it was in the 70s when everything about this pattern was extra!

I never added this pattern in my wardrobe because there was nothing that I found unique enough for me to style, until, when I was randomly strolling at a H&M store I spotted this blouse priced at INR 500. Calling it a 'steal' would be an understatement! The details such as the balloon sleeves, oversized tie-up bow & monochrome is what lured me to make an impulse purchase.

Sheer & extremely lightweight, this piece turned out to a great pick for Spring Summer.
When it came to styling, I was quite sure that I would want to create a retro look, because why not! I did not want it to lose its appeal by getting paired with the regular ol' jeans. I paired it up with a high-waist culottes & added a pop of mauve with these kitten heels.

Included more retro vibes in the form of oversized hoops & petite cat-eye sunglasses. The hairdo and makeup were also done to complement the attire, with thick winged liner & bold red lips.
