I Dressed Retro

Polka Dots have been in fashion for really really long, and the exciting part about this style is that it ain't going anywhere anytime soon. While now a lot more subtle form of garments with polka dots are available in the market, it was in the 70s when everything about this pattern was extra! 

I never added this pattern in my wardrobe because there was nothing that I found unique enough for me to style, until, when I was randomly strolling at a H&M store I spotted this blouse priced at INR 500. Calling it a 'steal' would be an understatement! The details such as the balloon sleeves, oversized tie-up bow & monochrome is what lured me to make an impulse purchase.

Sheer & extremely lightweight, this piece turned out to a great pick for Spring Summer.

Formal with a twist

Experimenting with formals is a tad bit difficult specially if the organisation is pretty strict in terms of the dress code but if that's not the scenario in your case, then it's easy to create unique looks to avoid making it look monotonous. 
You all know how much I love sporting a white shirt , and how I ended up styling it in seven different ways last time. Well adding one more to the list with this outfit. 

While I styled this look for an event, one can easily wear this to work with a little changes here & there. 

I wore a white shirt with ruffle details, rolled up sleeves & inverted collar alongwith a berry hued high & low midi skirt. I decided to give a fusion vibe to the look by adding this dainty pearl neckpiece.

The footwear screamed statement courtesy them being holographic with 3D bow detail. For makeup, I chose the subtle combination of winged liner with n*de lips.
