One Slip Dress, Six Ways [PART 1]

With the temperature on a tremendous rise, the only trend that I am happy being in, is the 'Slip Dress'! Reminiscent of the '90s, this is definitely going to be my summer uniform this year.  For my love of bringing out the versatility of a garment, I decided to create six looks with my silky finish slip from H&M. It's going to be a three part series, make sure you catch 'em all.

This look gives more of a date night vibe, & with slip dress being a romantic closet must-have, I didn't mind that all! I layered a patterned midi skirt beneath the slip dress. It created an illusion of a midi dress with a flared hem! I made sure that the colour tone of both the pieces are on the same lines, so that they don't look like separates.
Finally slipped into metallic gold pointed pumps & added oversized hoops to complement the attire. I also did low bun with few hair strands pulled out and put on a dash of red on the lips, as the final touch.

Review | The Face Shop

When it comes to makeup & skincare, if given a choice, I would anyday prefer products with essence of nature over others. So when I got an invite to attend The Face Shop's workshop with MUA Bobby Chopra, I was ecstatic to say the least, since I had heard rave reviews about this brand, and how it successfully meets with the expectations of sharing benefits of nature through its products. The Face Shop offers a wide range of products born from botany like Facial Treatments, Masks, Cleansers and more! With a claim of making their products with the finest active plants, the brand promises to enhance and protect your skin like second nature. Coming to the products, I got a chance to lay my hands on the following -
Disney CC Cooling Cushion (OEM) Pooh (V103 Pure Beige)
Considering that I have a dry skin, I picked Winnie the Pooh CC Cooling Cushion since it offers deep moisturising & leaves a long lasting cooling & soothing effect upon application. It provides sheer natural cover…

A day at Annamaya

I recently got a chance to experience this beautiful European-style food hall called Annamaya at Andaz, Delhi. With a fun, vivid yet minimal décor, this place is divided into various sections such as desserts, beverages, live kitchen & tandoor, and more!
Their menu involves dishes made using locally sourced organic artisanal products, with an aim of :
| Eat Mindful |Shop Artisanal | Raise Awareness|

Coming to the food, I ordered Roasted Potatoes with Zakia Seeds and trust me it tasted really good. I preferred having a smack of it alone rather than clubbing it with a bread or a gravy dish. Their Linguini tossed with asparagus, garden peas, snow peas and poached eggs is something you should definitely give a try! Not very high on flavour but it would be an ideal pick if you prefer simple, creamy food.

Review | Nykaa Paintstix [Part 1]

Nykaa recently unveiled a stunning matte lipstick collection called Nykaa Paintstix, and I got a chance to get all 12 shades to home, for me to try! I would have never thought that the range would make me fall in love with it so easily, thanks its super creamy texture & vivid colors in high intensity.
Though it's very difficult to choose a favorite among these but if I have to pick one I would give it to Rock n Roll Pink!

I must admit, they are going to be a part of my vanity case for a really long time.  Also, I would suggest you to try these out incase you are looking for a variety of color options at super affordable price range!
Price: Rs. 425 for 3.5 gms  Available at Nykaa

So I decided to lip swatches of the 12 shades for you to have a better understanding about the pigmentation, finish and more!
01 Nude Spice - A ideal nude hue which would complement all skin tones! Perfect for daily wear.

02 Cool Girl Nude - A classic mocha brown tone! Flattering shade to say the least.

#Revived | Wedding

As per the latest trends & experiments done by fashion influencers  a lot of new ways to sport a saree is doing rounds! I, too, have done the same be it by pairing it with a crop top or an off shoulder top or adding a belt over it. But the charm that the traditional way to drape a saree has cannot be replaced by any other!

So the last part of my #revived series is all about being conventional, where this time I pulled out a three decade old yellow treasure of my mom & created this vintage inspired look! The idea behind opting for a subtle, simple piece with micro print & a sleek border, was to maintain the uniformity of the series to promote minimalism at weddings!

Coming from a Baniya family, wearing unadorned or not heavily embellished outfits is considered bizarre by many but me being me, who has never followed any rules when comes to fashion, wear whatever makes me stand out from the rest, in my comfort zone. I can never see myself being a part of the herd!

While deciding…
