Why fashion blogging?

So this is my first "not just a personal style post"! Sharing few reasons, instances & even hurdles that led me here. Even though there is still a long long way to go, but I thought this is best time when I can have a little heart to heart conversation with you.

My love for fashion began in sixth grade, when I told my mom that I wanted to be Miss India. She obviously didn't take that seriously & without any guidance I couldn't have achieved that, and eventually that dream could not be fulfilled!
Fast forward to 2010, during my second year in Mass Comm., I gave my second attempt for NIFT. I really wanted to do Fashion Communication & when I was least expecting it, I got through! But I chose to skip it because being a graduate by 2012 sounded more exciting than being in a college for next five years.

I graduated, started working & it was only in 2013 when I encountered IMBB and realized that something called 'fashion blogging' exists! After being an active reader for a couple of months I decided to give writing outfit posts a shot. Being someone who was camera conscious & who used to think if anyone would actually be interested in seeing what my personal style is, left me in a dilemma state.

Still sent my first post, received an approval mail & the response was overwhelming and quite motivating. But the hurdles were yet to come! Being an independent working girl, I never used to take financial support from my parents & that means all the outfits were purchased from my own salary (which was almost peanuts), leading to less no. of posts. When your father doesn't approve of you getting all dressed up early in the morning to get yourself clicked outdoor, leading to not up to mark work! When your so called friends call you skinny, hanger, etc because you are too thin, that may be out of envy, but still leaving you demotivated.

But the virtual love that I got & immense support from few close to me kept me driven & I did not stop. After two years of learning with IMBB, last year on my mom's birthday I started this blog and the happiness on her face was the icing on the cake!
If you really love doing something, you should definitely do that, it'll take some time & struggle to attain success but that contentment is beyond words!

Today I am managing this blog along with a full time job & has a responsibility of babies-like two dogs & a turtle. But I make sure that I religiously post every Mon or Tues. We are a team of just two people where one clicks & other (i.e. me) shops, styles, gets clicked, edits, manages the social media pages, writes content, has made this website; but, trust me, I love every bit of it. I enjoy what I do.

The core reason behind this post was to thank you all for your time, love & support that pushes me to work hard with each passing day! What better than the 'month of love' to express my gratitude to the virtual love that has made me the person that I am today. :*
