#Revived | Wedding

As per the latest trends & experiments done by fashion influencers  a lot of new ways to sport a saree is doing rounds! I, too, have done the same be it by pairing it with a crop top or an off shoulder top or adding a belt over it. But the charm that the traditional way to drape a saree has cannot be replaced by any other!

So the last part of my #revived series is all about being conventional, where this time I pulled out a three decade old yellow treasure of my mom & created this vintage inspired look! The idea behind opting for a subtle, simple piece with micro print & a sleek border, was to maintain the uniformity of the series to promote minimalism at weddings!

Coming from a Baniya family, wearing unadorned or not heavily embellished outfits is considered bizarre by many but me being me, who has never followed any rules when comes to fashion, wear whatever makes me stand out from the rest, in my comfort zone. I can never see myself being a part of the herd!

While deciding on what blouse do I pair with this saree, I asked my mom that did she wear because I really wanted recreate that look. That's how this maroon Bandhni print came into the picture, along with puffed sleeves to match up to the theme.
Added a gold choker with dainty earrings & an embroidered clutch along with a vintage twisted hair low bun with red roses to finish the look!

  1. We had our youngest daughter's wedding at this place. Everything at Seattle Wedding venues was spot-on perfect, the venue, the food, the view, the service and fortunately even the weather. Cannot recommend the manager and his staff more!!!
