Festive | Modern

Whenever we talk about picking outfits for the festive season, the first style that comes into our mind is ethnic! While I feel one can experiment alot with their looks & it does not necessarily have to be completely ethnic, so I decided to do a three part series wherein I style different outfits that you can sport this festive season without being mainstream!

The first look as the title suggests is modern, wherein I picked a co-ord set to add a dash of sass to your festive look. One can easily pull this look off to the pre-diwali parties or at the time when you head out for festive gifting and more.

Keeping the festive mood intact, I chose a vibrant pairing of wide legged pants & a crop top, in floral pattern. I decided to utilise the tie-up on the pants and tied it in a criss-cross manner from the back over the top.

Indian festivals are all about going a little extra with the jewellery! But for this being modern contemporary look I chose to go with statement footwear with pear…

Dress over Jeans

I don't know about you but I, for a matter of fact, make sure to dress up keeping in mind the area I am visiting to! So when I decided to visit the Bada Imambara in Lucknow, I chose to go the fusion way by pairing a beautifully embroidered dress over a pair of dual shade denims.  Bada Imambara, like I mentioned before, is a mosque which obviously has religious sentiments attached to it. Respecting that it became a lot more important for me to to choose an outfit which doesn't offend others & do not make me awkward amidst the crowd!
But instead of the good old traditional, I very thoughtfully created a contemporary attire.

Picked this stunning off-white dress for its intricate details & unconventional hemline and paired it up with mom jeans with colour-block pattern!
To add some statement to the look I side swept my hair & added this oversized, handmade Maharani earring just on one side. Err, do Nawab & Maharani get along? Finally, a pair a sneakers because the …

Miniso Haul

Miniso, a renowned Japanese brand, famous for its quirky products at affordable prices recently launched its first store in India at Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj. The prices of the products starts from 150 INR onwards across so many categories including beauty, stationery, gift items, digital accessories and more!

So when I got to attend the launch, I couldn't resist myself from shopping my heart out, despite of it being insanely crowded. I managed to pick alot of cutesy, creative products at extremely reasonable prices and decided to do this haul post for you all to see how this store is a must visit when you head towards Ambience Mall next time.
I got to shop 6 amazing products for not more that 1700 INR, and as a part of first day offer got a discount of 100 INR on my purchase. So basically, my haul costed me just 1600 INR, which I am sure is a steal for the kind of products that I chose.  Plus I also got 4 products from the brand in the media kit, about which I'll mention t…

Review | Lakme 9 to 5 Primer + Matte Powder Foundation

I always believe that we all inherit a lot of things from our mothers be it beauty, nature or style. Similarly to that we also tend to fall for the brands they use, and this is how I have been passed down 'love & loyalty' towards Lakme! I have seen my mom using this brand since ages & how she refuses to replace it with any other, for its sheer affordability & quality.

While I have been stocking certain Lakme products dedicatedly in my vanity since the time I've started using makeup, when I got to know about their latest '9 to 5 Primer + Matte Powder Foundation' launch, I knew I had to try these out too.
